Back to School with Reiki

School is in full swing again.  Are you ready for some ideas on how to make school and study time easier and more effective?  Do you or your child need to improve your attitude?  Whether you are enrolled yourself, have kids in school or you home school, there are energetic techniques to keep energy flowing freely to your body, mind and emotions.

If you’re tired of your kids (or yourself) coming home from school with chaotic, ungrounded energy, bad attitudes about home work, or just want to empower your (or your child’s) learning abilities, Reiki can help.

The Reiki Muse

Reiki helps protect your personal space at school which allows for more clear focus by eliminating distracting or draining energy.  If your child is attuned to Reiki, have her create a Reiki bubble around herself before heading to school.  The Reiki bubble can be filled with any qualities needed that day such as: confidence, creativity, happiness, or clarity.

Putting a power symbol around your child’s aura  forms a boundary that only allows loving energy in and out.  With a clear and bright space around you, you can focus on what’s important to you, without feeling others emotions, judgments, or negativity.  You could also create a Reiki shower for your child before they head to school.

You can also use Reiki to nurture positive relationships with teachers.  Send distant Reiki to your relationship with teachers that you or your child find difficult or challenging.  The Reiki can improve communication and understanding forming a more uplifting and supportive relationship.  If you don’t have 2nd degree Reiki, just write down “relationship between ‘teacher’ and ‘student’” and hold the paper in your hands letting the Reiki flow.  You don’t have to wait till a relationship has turned sour.   You can also use Reiki to bolster a student/teacher relationship that’s already positive to help keep it that way.

You’ll also want to create an uplifting study environment at home. Remember to put Reiki, including any symbols that you’re attuned to, or a Reiki shower over desks or study areas .  This will help you or your child settle into a studious frame of mind and feel good while doing homework.

The Reiki MuseReiki can help improve memory and understanding of new concepts and ideas.  If you or your child is studying for a test remember to use the mental/emotional symbol and the power symbol to assist in remembering things clearly.  For learning new ideas, you can use the second degree symbols along with the Karuna Reiki® symbol Gnosa.

Reiki can also foster more receptivity and release resistance to learning.  Using the mental emotional symbol, you can replace negative attitudes such as, “I’m bad at math.” with a more positive outlook like, “I’m getting better at math” or “I’m understanding more and more each day at school”.

If your child is struggling, remember to Reiki yourself, so you stay calm and centered.  It’s much easier to encourage your child’s learning when you’re coming from a loving and understanding frame of mind.  As a home schooling mom, I have to remember to do this occasionally too.

The Reiki Muse

Boost your child’s confidence with Reiki to help him make friends, think clearly, improve memory and be creative.  Reiki can make learning more fun with new perspectives and by creating healthy study habits.

Reiki is high vibrating energy that belongs in the class room.  Being at school and learning can be a bright, positive and more enjoyable experience with Reiki.

If you find yourself waiting for the bus, to pick kids up from school or sports practice, remember to nurture yourself with Reiki.  Remind your children to Reiki themselves too.

Happy learning!

In Light,

Christy

P.S. If you need extra support for yourself or your child, I’d be happy to help with a distant Reiki session.

The Creation and Beneficial Uses of A Reiki Shower

Have you ever wanted the Reiki to keep flowing over an area while you work on another area of the body?  Have you ever wished that everyone entering your home would clear their energy upon entering?  Have you ever desired your morning shower to clean more than just your physical body?

Try creating a Reiki shower or Reiki rain. The Reiki Muse

How do you make this Reiki rain you may ask?  It’s really quite simple whether you’re attuned to Reiki, level I or II.

If you’re attuneded to the second degree, draw the distant symbol vertically in the air and the power symbol horizontally below the distant symbol.  Visualize the Reiki coming through the distant symbol and raining out of the power symbol like water from a shower head.

If you’re a 1st degree Reiki practitioner, just visualize a shower head or a ball of Reiki raining down in beautiful colors over the area you place it.

The Reiki shower will allow Reiki to flow over an area clearing and charging the space continuously.  When you create the Reiki shower intend that it remains active for 12 to 24 hours.  You can reset them as often as needed.

Beneficial Uses for a Reiki Shower

You can use the Reiki shower to clear a space in your home.  I like to leave the Reiki showers over my doorways to keep my space sacred.  That way when someone enters my home, the Reiki will clear their energy as they walk through the door.

I just finished a long drive and sent distant Reiki ahead of myself to the part of the drive I usually get a bit tired.  Then I realized I didn’t need to wait till I was tired to Reiki myself.  I created a Reiki shower over my car right then while I was feeling good.  I kept seeing and feeling the colorful and energizing Reiki supporting my drive.  I never did get tired on my 13 hour drive.

You could try creating a Reiki shower over your house plant that needs some extra love or your garden.  Try one over your bed for a rejuvenating sleep.  Put one over your shower head and feel the extra deep cleaning of your aura. You can leave it over yourself all day long along with your protection roses.  Notice how your day goes with Reiki showering your aura all day long.

When I’m giving healing Reiki session I use the Reiki shower technique often when I want to keep the Reiki flowing over a receptive part of the body when I’m called to move to another position.

Here’s some other ideas for where to place a Reiki Shower over:

  •  cooking stove
  • campfire
  • desk for studying
  • the bathtub
  • hospital bed
  • massage table
  • meditation area
  • TV
  • computer
  • yoga mat
  • continuous brew kombucha

What ideas do you have for using a Reiki shower?

7 Ways Reiki Supports Overcoming Grief

Sweet Grief

With the potential to lead us closer to ourselves,

Deepening our soul connection.

Being comfortable in the void.

Teaching us to live fully now.

Losing loved ones is a natural part of the cycle of life.  Grief is the process of adjusting to a new reality. When in the state of grief we may experience very deep emotions ranging from shock, anger, sadness, confusion with moments of relief.    It may feel like someone ripped apart your aura and took a piece of you.

Remember Reiki can help with this process since it heals on all levels:  physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

The Reiki Muse

Lucy ~ 11 days before she transitioned.

For me personally, I lost my 15 year old dog, Lucy, in October.  She was so much a part of my daily reality that I felt very ungrounded my first night without her.   So much so, I felt a bit insane.  I cried a lot.  The Reiki helped me stay aware enough to use her death as a catalyst to consciously release any lingering grief in my system from losing my parents when I was a teen.

How do You come to terms and accept the emotions of losing someone?  Even if You are fully aware the death process is just a birth into non-physical there’s still a sense of loss.   There’s the spiritually aware perspective that we can celebrate for the loved one who’s moved on.  Yet, here we are with feelings of intense sadness. I must say even in the depth of it, I felt great excitement for the lightness at the end of the process.  I recognized the opportunity to tap deep into myself to become more fully who I am.

How long grief takes is different for everyone.  What is most important is fully allowing your emotions to move through you.  Grief moves through in waves.  Reiki can help You ride the waves taking each one as it comes.

I can sense and talk to loved ones in the spiritual plane who’ve out right told me grief gets in the way of clear communication with them.  What better motivation for allowing the energy of grief to work its ways through you, than to feel that heart connection with loved ones who’ve moved on.

Some of the symptoms of unreleased grief:The Reiki Muse

  • carrying excess weight
  •  lung problems
  • depression
  • addictions
  • over or under emotional
  • digestive troubles
  • neck or back pain
  • and more…

Ways Reiki can support the grief process for yourself or a loved one.

  1. Grief can be compounded if you’re regretting something you did or didn’t do.  You can Reiki yourself or a loved one to help them heal the past by utilizing the distant Reiki symbol.
  2. Reiki your intention of allowing the grief to move through you.
  3. Reiki the environment.  This will allow any expressed grief to be cleared from the surroundings.  It will also help clear the energy of the loved one who’s passed leaving a loving and uplifting feeling.
  4. Reiki yourself as you fall asleep or send distant Reiki to your loved one who’s in grief.  The Reiki will sooth you into sleep and help you process and release while sleeping.
  5. Reiki times You need to be at work or around others.  This will help You stay connected with yourself allowing You to be authentic.  It can create a bubble of loving energy around You making it easier to stay focused and breathe.
  6. Reiki your communication and interaction with others.  You’ll find words to express how you’re feeling authentically so others will respect where you’re at emotionally giving you space and support.
  7. Simply fill yourself and your aura with Reiki all the time.  Breathe it in and out.  Allow the Reiki to guide You in your own process.

By allowing yourself to be filled with Reiki during your grief process you’ll open yourself to finding the beauty in the breakdown.  You may even move through the process more quickly, or perhaps not.  Reiki will certainly ensure you complete the grieving process fully.  You’ll be left lighter and free.  You’ll be able to live in the now with you’re heart wide open.

In Reiki awareness,

Heal Your Shadow Self with Reiki and Archangels

Have You noticed that your shadow goes with You where ever You go?  It’s most prominent when the sun’s shimmering rays shine upon You accentuating your shadow.  Wouldn’t you rather perceive your shadow as an ally rather than a dark nemesis following You around?

What is the shadow self and do I have one?

The shadow self is the part of yourself you like to keep hidden.  It’s really not the first thing You want others to notice or the last thing for that matter.  You may even deny or repress this aspect of yourself.

When You take a deeper look into the darker aspects of yourself, You will notice how your shadow is only trying to be your friend and be of service You.  At some point in your life You may have experienced a hurt that your shadow self is only protecting You from living again.   Is that really so bad? You may have had feelings or acted in a way that You or someone else labeled unacceptable.  The shadow self is the part of yourself that You have buried and left separate from your conscious personality.

This unacknowledged and non-integrated part of yourself  may wreak havoc in your life by creating unwanted occurrences.  It may cause You to feel like a victim or out of control over the happenings in your life.  In your shadow you’ll find your guilt, shame,  unworthiness and other ‘non-evolved’ qualities. People like to project their shadows onto others, often unwilling to notice the same quality in themselves.

We all have a shadow self whether we like to admit it or not.  Do You hang out in the cloudy mists so no one notices your shadow? Thereby not fully living in the Light.   Do You judge or belittle yourself about your dark side? Or have You learned to befriend your shadow so You can dance in the bright sunlight together?

Benefits of Healing Your Shadow Self.

Befriending your dark side isn’t really that scary once you accept it’s only the part of your personality that You’ve kept in the shadows and hidden from the Light.  One of the biggest steps You can take for yourself in living a more fully enlightened life is embracing your shadow self.

Healing Shadow Self With Reiki

Once You’re not expending energy working against yourself and hiding your dark side, more energy is easily accessible for you to live in your power.   Imagine all that energy released into your full consciousness, what can You do with it?  Once integrated into your personality that old shadow energy is transformed leaving You a more bright and loving person.

With your shadow as your friend, You’re able to fully embrace your past and be expanded from the experiences you lived.  You’ll come to understand that your feelings and actions were the best You could do at the time bringing peace to You now.

Once You learn to love and embrace all parts of yourself you’ll find your life reflects more  Light and Love.   Notice how much easier it is to laugh at yourself.  You’ll find more acceptance and tolerance of others, since you’re more loving with yourself.

Using Reiki to heal your shadow self.

You can use Reiki to help heal your shadow self.  I guide students through this process in Karuna Reiki® and in the Reiki Master Teacher training.   You don’t need to be in a workshop to use Reiki  to heal your shadow self. You can activate any symbols you’re attuned to and journal or mediate with Reiki and your shadow self.

Communicate with your shadow self as a friend and get to know and understand it.  That’s the way to fully unlock the power of the positive aspects of your shadow self. You can ask the Reiki to help you realize how your shadow is trying to help and support You.  Ask the Reiki to bring the dark aspects of yourself into the light.

Asking for help from the Archangels.

Archangels are high vibrating beings of Light who have functions that help support us in our lives.  To invoke their assistance You only need to ask.  They are happy to help.  They perform well along with the Reiki.

Here is a list of angels along with their colors who can support You in healing your shadow self.  Feel free to call on one or all of them.

  •  Archangel Gabriel(copper) to help you out of your darkness and step fully into your life purpose.
  • Archangel Jeremiel (eggplant purple) will help You see and understand your life patterns.
  • Archangel Haniel (pale blue)will help shine light on your dark spots and help you see the beauty of You, helping you appreciate yourself in your perfection just as You are.
  • Archangel Michael (bright blue with some purple)helps eliminate any fears You’ve been holding.
  • Archangel Raphael (green) brings healing to all aspects of your life bringing truth and guidance.
  • Archangel Zadkiel (dark blue)allows the release of judgment and brings forgiveness of self and others.
  • Archangel Chamuel (pale green) brings feelings of peace and love and will help you see yourself and love yourself unconditionally.
Here’s to your path of love and enlightenment and allowing Reiki to support You along the way.
Reiki Blessings to You!

Healing The Past with Reiki

Have You ever thought to send Reiki to historical events?   Anyone effected by a historic event across time and space has the possibility of being restored to wholeness when you send Reiki to the past.

Imagine the healing energy going across time and space causing the DNA of everyone to be healed.  Can you feel the Reiki restoring wellness to thousands of people?  So there’s no hooks from the past eroding our enjoyment of life here in the now.

I thought of this during the movie Agora about Hypatia who was a female philosopher around 500 A.D. when the Christian Church was putting women ‘in their place’.  It made me feel very sad to think about that.  So I started to Reiki myself so I would feel better and could get the full enjoyment of the movie.   Then I thought, “Wow!  I could send Reiki to everyone that has been negatively treated by the church through out time.”

The Reiki Muse

Watching that movie is what sparked my interest in sending Reiki to the historic past.  There’s been countless people persecuted by the church, in wars or cultural feuds.  Natural disasters have altered the lives of our ancestors.  Some events that come to mind are the holocaust, Native Americans losing their territory,  slavery or the March 2011 earthquake in Japan.  Yes, even current events are historical.

Whenever a historic event comes to your attention from a movie, book or discussion, know there’s always the opportunity to send Reiki to restore wellness.  The Reiki doesn’t change what happened.  We clear and heal the energetic effects.  We have the opportunity to come to a state of peace and understanding about past happenings.  We accept and forgive the past leaving us free and whole to live in our now.

Our ancestors hand down to us their unresolved issues in our DNA for us to deal with in our lives.  Did you know that in our DNA we carry programing from at least 12 generations?  How about using some Reiki to heal that.

How might you know if you carry some unresolved issues related to the past?  Notice if you feel any heavy emotions when something historic comes to your attention.  You may even have physical reactions.  You may have dreams tied to a certain event.  Do you watch a historic movie or book and get upset with how people were being treated?  These are all indicators that you aren’t at peace with the past.

What a gift you can give to yourself and to countless others by sending distant Reiki to past events.  Just send Reiki with the intention that everyone effected by what happened receive healing from the Reiki.  You can even ask the Reiki to help release it from your and other’s DNA.

Reiki blessings to you.

5 Ways to Help Reiki Flow Stronger When Someone is in Pain

Last night when my 5-year-old daughter had her first earache I was reminded how to most effectively give Reiki to someone in pain.  She was crying, moaning and in the worst pain I’d ever seen her in.  Of course that’s hard to watch and not be attached to the healing results of Reiki.

I instantly gave her Reiki to her ear.  The pain didn’t seem to be going away.  The Reiki didn’t seem to be flowing strongly.  So I got out my homeopathic remedies and gave a couple of rounds of those.  Then I pulled out the Children’s Tylenol, for the first time ever for her.

After I had done everything else I could think of do at night I went back to Reiki.  I called on my Reiki guides, healing guides and Archangel Raphael.  Raphael always has good healing direction for me and I heard him whispering in my ear once I relaxed, as the Reiki was flowing stronger and stronger.

If You find yourself in a situation of giving Reiki when You’re in pain or someone else is in pain and the Reiki doesn’t seem to be flowing very much.  There are things You can do to  help the Reiki flow, even when there’s intense pain happening.

Here are 5 ways to help the Reiki flow stronger when relieving pain: The Reiki Muse

1. Get your ego out of the way!  I always affirm before a healing session: “I am a clear and open Reiki channel and my ego has stepped aside”.   This is a reminder to let Reiki do it’s work and I’m not the one doing the healing.  I’m just a vessel for the energy.  The more I put my ego in by thinking things like “I want to take the pain away”, the less effective the healing process is and the more likely I am going to take on unwanted energy.

2. Relax and Breathe! When You hurt yourself or are watching someone You love in pain, pay attention to your breath.  Shallow breathing doesn’t help you relax.  It keeps You in panic mode.  Notice how much stronger the Reiki starts flowing when You slow your breath and relax.

If You hurt yourself, take a moment to center and inhale and exhale slow deep breaths.  If You are Reikiing someone else in pain, remind them to focus on relaxing and breathing.  Resisting the pain makes it worse. Talk calmly to the person experiencing the pain.

3. Envision the pain leaving the person so that they are returned to their state of wholeness. I imagine the energy of the pain being grounded into the Earth.  If You know Karuna Reiki® try using the Kryia and Rama symbols which really helps ground the pain.

When I started Reikiing my daughter last night I was remembering how bad ear aches hurt when I was a child.  I was literally feeling the pain.  Well, that didn’t help.  Archangel Raphael reminds me often about feeling the peace and wholeness in my body where someone else is hurting.    Feeling their pain adds fuel to the fire, so to say.

In my daughter’s case last night, I visualized the pressure in her ear being relieved and saw her ear in its state of health and wellness.  A working knowledge of anatomy helps with seeing the body in its state of wholeness.  If You lack anatomy training, just do your best.  You can just affirm that the body is in its state of wholeness.

4. Trust that the body knows how to heal itself. The Reiki really supports and speeds up the process.  When You allow yourself to relax into the knowing that the body has a brilliant self repair ability, it helps the Reiki flow better through You.

5. Imagine your hand is a Reiki magnet pulling the pain out of the body. When You are Reikiing someoneThe Reiki Muse else,  have them visualize your hand pulling the pain out of their body.  This gives them something to focus on and helps speed the process because their mental state has gone from one of pain to relief.

Of course if You are attuned to second degree Reiki, don’t forget CKR, the power symbol.  You’ll feel the Reiki get stronger with that symbol especially after you’ve relaxed and stopped worrying.

When using Reiki to relieve pain remember to keep yourself calm, relaxed and breathe.  Remind yourself that everything will be okay.  Try not to imagine the worst.  That just keeps You in a state of resistance of the healing process.

Trust yourself to know what to do.  Depending on the situation You may need to seek medical or other professional help.  In my daughter’s case, she woke up feeling good this morning.

7 Reasons To Choose An In-Person Reiki Workshop

You may have noticed that some websites offer online Reiki attunements.  Some will set a time with You to receive the initiation.  Others may have You watch a video.  Some may actually do a virtual course.

Distant Reiki attunements do work.  If You are attracted to them, I would suggest going with one that offers support and training.  Technology offers amazing advantages these days allowing us to connect with others from a distance.

A disadvantage of distant initiations is You don’t get hands on experience to learn with others.  You don’t get to see the expressions of other students’ faces as they bask in the energy of a Reiki attunement.   You can’t lay Your hands on your fellow students and experience the new flow of Reiki with someone at the same time.

There are advantages to learning Reiki in person.

7 Reasons to take a Reiki Training in a face to face workshop are:The Reiki Muse

1. You have the opportunity to connect with other students.

Spirit has an amazing ability to bring together students in a Reiki class for the mutual benefit of all concerned.  For example, it might bring together students working on the same life lessons such as self-worth.  The class may bring together a couple of students adept at seeing energy with a couple who are better at feeling it.  Everyone gets the benefit of the other’s experience.

You also can get to know each other further at Reiki shares.  You become part of a Reiki community with people who share your interest in energy healing.

2.  You and your Reiki Master Teacher have the chance to get to know each other.

During a live Reiki workshop there is plenty of opportunity for sharing.  The Reiki Teacher shares experiences that can help You in using this healing energy system.   The teachings can also be taught in a way that most suits the learner.

3. Live feedback from your Reiki Teacher and other Reiki Students.

Instant feedback  helps You master the application of Reiki techniques and fosters trust in your intuition while using the healing energy.  For example, You can find out if the pressure of your hand or  positioning of your hand needs to be adjusted for the comfort of the receiver.  Or You may find that the Reiki felt strongest over a certain part of the body and that’s where the person on the Reiki table had been experiencing pain before the class.

4. The opportunity to fully immerse yourself in practicing Reiki.

In a workshop setting You’ve scheduled yourself to be there.  You have uninterrupted time and space to bask in the Reiki energy all day.  With the guidance of a teacher you’re likely to integrate the Reiki energy on a deeper level than if You are by yourself.  Kind of like going to a yoga class versus practicing at home, I know I get way more out of it if I attend a class.

5. Develop confidence in your Reiki ability.

By the time you’ve left your Reiki workshop you’ve had plenty experience using the Reiki.  You’ve had feedback from the Reiki Master Teacher and fellow students.  By the time you go home you’ve already started the process of trusting Reiki and your intuition using the Reiki.  You’ve felt the Reiki’s effect on yourself and others and you know that the Reiki is working for everyone’s highest good.  The more You use it the stronger it gets and so does your confidence in the healing strength of the energy.

6. The advantage of practicing giving Reiki sessions to others.

You’ve already given at least one full session during the workshop.  So when you are on your own the people you work on will feel comfortable receiving a treatment from You.  And You’ll feel at ease working on others too.  If you’re planning on offering Reiki services, I highly recommend you’ve had plenty of practice sessions.

7. Experience being supported while integrating the Reiki energy.  Other’s can be your witness in your emotions or your realizations.

Reiki has a way of clearing out our energetic systems.  This release of energy often brings up old patterning and emotions.  It’s so powerful to acknowledge your moving experience in the presence of others.  We are able to support and honor each other during the class with the loving Reiki energy.

Give yourself the gift of learning Reiki in an in-person workshop.  When you’re ready to learn Reiki or take the next level of Reiki, find a Reiki Master Teacher that You feel suits You.   If You’re in Colorado, You can find my class list on the Learn Reiki Page .

Reiki Blessings to You!

When Reiki Becomes The Teacher and Guide

I always teach students in my Reiki workshops that Reiki will lead and guide them along their paths if they open themselves up to receiving Reiki guidance.  I am a Reiki Teacher, yet the fuller truth is Reiki itself is the Teacher.  I am a vessel that the Reiki energy and information goes through. Just as the Reiki practitioner is a channel for the healing energy to move through.

In each Reiki workshop I am guided on how to best convey the Reiki teachings to the individuals in the class.  I teach the same things in each workshop, yet the way things are worded or how I have the student practice may be slightly different.

Once I’ve attuned students to Reiki my goal is to have them reach a place of confidence, trust and reliance on the Reiki.  My aim is to have the new Reiki practitioner leave the Reiki workshop empowered and dedicated to using Reiki in their lives daily.  I encourage them to integrate the Reiki into what ever  practices they are already using in their lives such as: yoga, massage, meditation, modern medicine, therapy, dance, career, parenting or play.

How do I foster my student’s confidence in using Reiki? The Reiki Muse

1. I allow for plenty of practice time using Reiki.  Reiki energy is unseen by most.  Therefore, giving and receiving Reiki during the workshop allows for the student to develop a relationship with the Reiki.  How it feels when it flows through them.  How the Reiki cycles, ebbs and flows.  What it feels like to receive Reiki.

2. I encourage the person receiving Reiki and for the giver of Reiki to share what they notice when Reiki is being given.  This helps the new Reiki practitioners trust in the unseen effects of the Reiki.  When someone first learns Reiki it’s so important to have feedback, so they know they aren’t making things up in their head.

For example, the Reiki student feels that the receiver of Reiki needs Reiki at the hips and goes there first.  The acknowledgement of the person on the table that they’ve had hip problems bolsters the confidence of the new Reiki practitioner.

3. I have the students practice various techniques during the workshop to show powerful ways Reiki can be used.

4. All the while during a Reiki workshop, I’m asking my students to tap into and trust their intuition, because the Reiki will guide Reiki practitioner.  It’s such a joy to watch people trust their guidance.  Watching people feel with their hands and go where the Reiki sends them the messages.  Sometimes the Reiki’s direction is tingling hands, sometimes inner knowing, or an inner voice, a picture in the mind or a feeling in the body.

The only thing that puts any limits on the use of Reiki is a lack of creativity.  I encourage the students to tap into their creative source and to be open to how Reiki can be used to promote healing and energetic wellbeing in their lives.

My hope is that once leaving my workshops that the Reiki practitioners go from hearing my voice in their heads when they use Reiki to hearing the voice and inner promptings of the Reiki.  Reiki attunements open the third eye and heart chakras allowing for a deepening of intuition.

Not only will the Reiki guide You in how, when and where use Reiki.  Reiki will guide You on your path to self-awareness.  Reiki will put creative ideas for how to use Reiki that suit You or people You know.  You just need to be open and allow yourself to trust the Reiki guidance.

You’re not making it up.  The Reiki guidance is real even if it’s unseen.   That’s part of the benefit of being with others when You learn.  It’s so easy to see how strong your intuition is using Reiki, when You have feedback from others in your Reiki workshop confirming what You are sensing.

It’s such a joy to hear about ways that Reiki has guided students when they come back for Reiki II, Reiki III or Karuna Reiki®.  Not only will Reiki guide You in your healing process and how to best help other’s in their healing, it will guide You in your path of self-discovery and persoanl awareness.

I’m with You when You learn Reiki, yet the Reiki is with You a life time.  Your connection with Reiki can never be broken.  Keep trusting and following your guidance.

Interpreting the Reiki Ideals With The Law of Attraction

When reading the Original Reiki Ideals I notice the wording is contrary to the law of attraction.  The word “not” doesn’t take away from the focus of anger and worry.  You know when You tell someone not to look and they instantly turn their head toward You.  I understand and feel the deeper meaning and energy of the Reiki principles.  In this article I will share the deeper meaning of the Reiki ideals and my alternate positive wording version.

Original Reiki Ideals The Reiki Muse

The secret art of inviting happiness

The miraculous medicine of all diseases

Just for today, do not be angry

Do not worry and be filled with gratitude

Devote yourself to your work and be kind to people

Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer,

Pray these words to your heart,

And chant these words with your mouth.

Usui Reiki Treatment for the improvement of body and mind

The Founder … Usui Mikao

I teach that the words “Just for today” invite us to be present and live in the moment.  Living in the now is an underlying principle applicable to the entire Reiki ideals.

The words “do not be angry” are not to be taken literally.  To never anger would be unhealthy and cause us to stifle our emotions, which would result in disease.  Instead look for the underlying beliefs and thoughts that lead to anger.  If You live present in the moment and accept that things are in perfect order anger is easier to release and harder to come by.  A deeper meaning of this principle reminds us that emotions are just guidance.  They let You know if You are believing thoughts that don’t serve You.

I think the words “do not worry” encourage You to live in the present.  If You are worrying, You are focusing your thoughts on something in the future that You don’t want to happen.

The Reiki idealBe filled with gratitude acknowledges that appreciation is a high vibrational state of mind.  When we are noticing things to be thankful for we uplift ourselves which allows us to feel better.  When we are in a state of gratitude the things we love and want in our lives come easily to us.

I like to interpret the deeper meaning of the words “devote yourself to your work” as devoting yourself to your inner work and your spiritual growth.  I see it as being mindful in your work and the tasks related to living.  Your work is following your highest path and living in integrity with your Highest Truth.  Your job is to tend to your alignment between your self and your Higher Self.

The Reiki principle of “be kind to people” brings to mind what about the animals and the other living things on this Earth.  I interpret this Reiki ideal to include all living things, including yourself.

I have altered the original Reiki ideals removing the negative wording.  The alternate version brings attention more to what we want as opposed to what we don’t want.  Those of You familiar with the Abraham teachings on Law of Attraction might recognize some of the wording.

Alternate Reiki IdealsThe Reiki Muse

Just for today, I choose appreciation

Just for today, I choose to accept my emotional guidance

Just for today, I trust All Is Well

I devote myself to my inner work while living in integrity

I show love and respect for all Life.
