Over the years I have given Reiki to all kinds of animals including horses, dogs, cats, bunnies and even fish. I have also given distant Reiki to non domesticated animals including an elephant, a gorilla and a moose.
Animals respond very well to Reiki. It helps them, just as it does for humans. It works on all levels to help restore balance and harmony. It strengthens and supports their self healing system.
Any energy stuck in their body or energy field releases. Their energy flows more freely which results in more peace and freedom in their bodies, hearts and minds.

Personal equine healing story
Equine Reiki healing has a special place in my heart. Horses respond so well to Reiki. Horses are on the gold frequency of pure love. Their own form of energy healing radiates from their hearts. They share this healing light with each other and humans.
One of my first powerful Reiki experiences was with a horse early in my Reiki journey. I got a call for help from a friend. One of the horses in her herd was lying down in pain with colic symptoms. Thankfully, I was only a few minutes away. I placed my Reiki hands on this horses’s belly for about ten minutes. Next I heard a rumbling gurgle and the horse stood up again. He looked at me in the eye offering his thanks. Then the horse walked away. I was completely convinced of the power of this healing modality.
