Spark Joy in Your Life with Reiki

Rainbows always spark joy for me

My guides have always taught me to go towards what brings me joy in life. Abraham (law of attraction) and Anastasia (Ringing Cedars) teach that we are meant to feel good and joyful in life. With the beginning of the new year and Netflix’s new show “Tiding Up” with Marie Kondo, I have been pondering joy.

How do you define Joy?

What sensations do you feel when you think of the word joy? I often have associated the word joy with feeling like I’m flying high, super excited, smiles, laughter, feeling like my feet are not even touching the ground. But maybe, joy is something more than just feeling super elated?

expanding your definition of joy

When meditating upon things that bring me joy, even with Reiki turned on, I found it a little hard at first. I started out looking for monumental things. It doesn’t help when my mind was already focused on stressful mundane things, like finances and schedules. It was challenging for me to find a joyful thought at first.

I took the pressure off myself to think of out of the ordinary things, like flying in a hot air balloon or getting a kiss from a sea lion.

I started thinking about things I appreciate, like having a warm bed and a loving dog cuddling next to me. Then I started to feel my vibration and emotional state rising. Meditating on things that brought joy became easier once I opened my perception of joy.

One of the things that I saw in my mind was fruit, papaya and melons. I even saw a head of cauliflower. I felt joy that those images popped in my mind when I was looking for what brings me joy. Such simple things, and fruits and vegetables, truly do spark my joy with the added benefit of sparking health.

Horses and dogs bring me joy too!

That’s when it struck me that joy really is simple. And when you start looking for moments of joy, no matter how small, they really add up. Those tiny sparks ignite a growing fire of joyful passion. Instead of thinking about joy being like someone winning $15 million, I started to think about a happy monk sitting in nature.

When I feel joy, I notice a warm, bubbling feeling in my heart chakra. This feeling can sometimes expand throughout my whole body and aura. I also noticed that I feel grounded in the present moment during moments of joy.

Joy truly is felt in the moment, even if you are thinking about something in the past or imagining something that will happen in the future.

Your vibration makes a difference

Did you know that the more love, joy and appreciation you feel not only alters your life, it can shift the course of humanity? Yes, you sitting alone in your room can add light to the world around. We are all co-creating with the divine light and the more love and pure vibration you hold positively effects us all. Each and every one of us makes a difference.

Meditating on Joy with Reiki

I like to do this right when I wake up in the morning. But you can do this anytime of day. Just turn on your Reiki if you are attuned and allow your mind to wander towards things that you associate with joy.

I find it helpful to focus on things that don’t hold contradictory energy. For example, if you think of a person, you may have all sorts of thoughts run through your head. Try and focus on a trait you love about them, or a funny moment or a happy memory.

In the beginning you may want to keep it truly simple. Things like looking at a sunset, feeling the ocean on your feet, the first time you saw your baby’s face.

Believe me the more you start to look for things that spark joy in your life, the more things you begin to notice.

When Joy feels out of REach

And if joy seems like too far to reach for right now, go for satisfaction. Things that make you feel satisfied or even things that bring you relief. Before you know it, your emotional set point will have risen and joy won’t seem like such a stretch.

So go ahead and give it a try. Turn on your Reiki when you wake up and mediate on things you associate with joy. Set your alarm a few minutes early if you need to.

And of course, you can do this meditation even if you aren’t attuned to Reiki. But Reiki will make it easier. Reiki is love and raises your vibration. This meditation is a good thing to try while you are receiving Continuous Distant Reiki.

Living Reiki Water

Living Reiki water helps keep you hydrated and keeps your vibration pure.

Hydration is very important to your body’s self healing process. Even if you are drinking many glasses of water a day, you can still be dehydrated. The tap water, even when filtered, is pretty lifeless.

Masaru Emoto brought to our attention that consciousness has an effect on water. You can raise your consciousness and the vibration of the water you drink with Reiki.

I first noticed the magical transformation that Reiki has on water in water ceremony during my Reiki Master Teacher training in 2000. When I first tasted the Reiki water I noticed it was ‘wetter’. Wetter isn’t a proper word in the English language, yet it felt more smooth and fluid. It felt more hydrating and nourishing. It was like drinking liquid light.

Drinking Reiki water is ingesting liquid Reiki healing. You will feel all the cells in your body thanking you for choosing this form of living water.

Creating living water

Other ways you can bring your water to life are adding lemon, lime, orange, tangerine, honey or cucumber. Even just a drop of lemon or honey will transform your water so you receive more hydrating benefits.

Don’t stop there. Adding Reiki to your water along with the fruit will increase the hydrating benefits of the fruit.

If you find yourself somewhere where you don’t have access to a lemon, bring your water to life with Reiki. Reiki is the wonderful tool that you carry with you everywhere you go.

Creating Reiki water

Simply hold your Reiki hands over the water or on the container. Let the Reiki flow for as long as you like, usually a minute or two or three. You can place any symbols you are attuned to over the water. Allow your hands to move in any way they are guided, perhaps in circles or hold them steady. Feel appreciation for the Reiki and the life affirming water. And enjoy!

As you keep drinking living Reiki water watch your healing unfold and symptoms disappear. People will start to notice your skin has a healthy glow. Watch your symptoms start to fade away.

Cheers!

Using Reiki To Be Kind and Increase Your Vibration

The Original Reiki Ideals by Mikao Usui

The secret art of inviting happinessThe Reiki Muse

The miraculous medicine of all diseases

Just for today, do not be angry

Do not worry and be filled with gratitude

Devote yourself to your work and BE KIND to people

Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer,

Pray these words to your heart,

And chant these words with your mouth.

I love that the Reiki ideals outright say to be kind.  I would like to add the reminder to be kind to all living beings, not just to people.

Why does Reiki remind us to be kind?  Kindness raises your vibration and uplifts the world around you.  Being kind in thought, word and deed is a powerful choice.  You can ask Reiki for help being kind.

What does being kind mean?  Being compassionate, big-hearted, gentle, respectful, benevolent, nice, caring and loving.  Being kind requires you to connect with the living essence of another living being.  How do we connect with another being you may ask?  It’s simple.  Through your heart.  Reiki energy opens our hearts and softens our minds.

Reiki can help you give up the need to be right.  Wanting to be right or judge causes us to disconnect from the loving part of ourselves.  It’s our ego’s way of saying, “I’m better than you.”

When you connect with your heart space, you’ll find that other people’s way of being or doing is their unique perspective which is no better than our own.  Is it really worth losing love by being right?  Yes, this means even when you are driving.

And let’s not forget about yourself.  Examine your own thinking.  Are you being kind to yourself in your thoughts? Notice if you are beating yourself up,  judging yourself or berating yourself.  If you discover you’re thinking an unkind thought about yourself, pause and take a deep breath.  Turn on your Reiki and allow your mind to soften and join up with your loving heart energy.

By being loving and kind to yourself, you’ll find it much easier to treat others with gentle concern.  Being kind to yourself is the beginning of adding light to the world around you.  Sometimes being kind to yourself or others may mean setting boundaries and saying ‘no’.  The Reiki will guide you in this.

If you are saying yes, when you really don’t want to do something, you’re only hurting yourself.  Either learn to say no, or ask the Reiki to help you line up your energy with what you’ve agreed to do.

How can you use Reiki to help you be kind to yourself and others?  You can Reiki yourself and focus on the word kindness. Just allow the Reiki to flow and notice how you feel.  If you are attuned to the distance symbol, you can send Reiki ahead of you on your path for the day while infusing the quality of kindness. You could charge a quartz crystal and place an affirmation under it such as, “I am kind to all living beings, especially myself”.

Just by focusing on kindness, you’ll notice it more. You’ll see your gentle and loving thoughts about yourself being reflected back to you from the world around you. With all that positive caring reinforcement, you’ll find it easier and easier to be kind.

If you come across someone who is just being rude, you’ll know they aren’t feeling those gentle and loving thoughts right now. It’s your choice, what will you mirror back to them? I suggest turning on your Reiki and filling yourself up with it and radiate it out.

Reiki connects us with the power of now and the feeling of ‘all is well’. When we truly remember all is well, kindness comes naturally.

In Loving Reiki Light,

Christy
